Yesterday was my second visit to Blue Box - and I asked myself why I don't go there more often. Especially after I tasted the vegetarian Blue Box Burger. Pretty big, very tasty and with fried potatoes on the side. Nom.

When we went, it was verrrrrrrrrrrry crowded.. to the point that many had to go outside to even breathe... then the neighbors complained that we were too loud, so the Box sent out a guy to tell us every 30 seconds to be quiet ;) Also if you're a non-smoker forget it as the "non-smoking" area isn't very separated. Drink prices are average, but they have some nice selection of "exotic" juices such as pear juice (birnensaft!) which you don't normally get anywhere.

the only place i know about, where hungry late night people can crush at 2 o clock in the morning and do not get a "no" for an answer.
and everyboy going there needs to see "müllers büro"

Ok, if a bit characterless. Service not exactly warm. Seems to be coasting on its reputation.

The Blue Box is one of Vienna's hidden pop culture treasures. Next time you're watching Falco's 'Amadeus' video, keep an eye out for the scene where a bunch of burly biker dudes are sitting around a bar-like area, that's the Blue Box!

Vegetarian meals, ok prices and sometimes has DJs spinning tolerable music at a tolerable volume level. Their vegetarian and vegan menus are sometimes hit and miss, but, usually a hit. Same for their waiting staff, who I must sadly admit are usually a miss.

Breakfast options a-plenty, this place also serves nicely the day after.

The DJ sets usually range from interesting to not-annoying, if you consider music in Cafés acceptable.
