MQ is especially nice in the warmer months. Now it is sunshine again, I must say the place looks even more redeeming. Watch out for weekend stalls and exhibitions, last week they had some great art and craft pieces which I took a friend to. And people are just much more open on sunny days!

MuseumsQuartier (or MQ for short) is a great institution within Vienna. Loaded with modern museum complexes, cafes and small, unique shops, it is a very popular hangout for students, tourists and the like. MQ also regularly has interesting activities through the year. It is advised to check out the schedule on the website or in person, to see what events/special activities are happening.

I must be one of the only few in Vienna to not be a MQ fan. The chairs are usually dirty outside but a plethora of people are laying there (OK outnumbered again!). But there are some nifty shops and cafes within which I do like. It's also very busy.

Just a great place to relax

The MQ combines culture with live, with love, with everything. The not only host 2 wonderful museums, the also house a big variety of art- and cultureshops, as well as art-projects, clubs, bars and many other things.
