If you visit Cambodia, do not miss the killing fields or the Museum of Genocide. These places are the best way to understand what the country has gone through and to better respect its history. However, you must be prepared to be emotionally marked after these visits, it is a lesson in life, a lesson that teaches us that history should no longer be repeated.

Even if visiting the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum is heartbreaking, it is still a must see attraction. Very well kept in its original state, the bleak conditions in which the victims were kept, a visit to S21 is a must to get a glimpse of what Cambodia suffered 35 years ago. I had a very knowledgeable guide who showed us 4 buildings. Highly recommend Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum!
