I'll shop there on their 1/2 price days...otherwise...I won't....even kids stuff can be pricey...$10 for a dress, which sometimes I can get on sale new...and some things you can get for much cheaper if you go someplace like the Vaughan mall outlet...Children's place ie. has $5 pricetags on lots of great quality new items all the time......all considering that Value Village gets most of the merchandise donated for free! They could move stuff faster and probably make more money and help needier folks!!!.....don't forget ...Value Village is a corporation!
...and about the staff...have to agree with Tulip on that one...whenever I've gone there with the kids..and we are in the ailes...the employees get you to move with scorn....that's the majority...only 1 nice lady is there that I have to say is pleasant, otherwise they should get some friendly blood ...with smiles on their faces working there!...whoever hires presently...shouldn't ....they are not hiring well...and this is from my own experience as a business owner.
Great used goods store, with a big variety of used clothing (men, women & kids), housewares, books, and lots of records at the back for $1.49 each (esp. good if you're into late 70s/early 80s vinyl... like I am...!). Friendly staff. Look out for their 1/2 price sales (they happen a few times a year).
