  I was there in mid july 2011. The service was very good, the soup great, my main course lunch was above average. Not too expensive. Waiter very nice. Great location. I'd go back!

  One more typical Viennese Kaffeehaus.

  Coffee is good, pastries are very good and so is the food. The offer of main dishes is limited (as in any Kaffeehaus) but I always found something to make my mouth water. I like it because it is, more than most other cafés around (e.g. Hummel), a panopticon of Josefstadt and there is always someone to watch and eavesdrop (I know, you normally don't do that stuff, but why else go to a Café? That's what it's all about, catching little stories or moments of other peoples lives..).

  As the previous poster has said: the "Schanigarten" in the Jodok-Fink-Platz is amazing. But attention, they share it with the Pizzaria across the street and the terraces are inverted (so the tables of the Pizzaria are opposite of Café Maria Treu and vice versa).

  If you are romantically inclined, go there on a saturday in early afternoon and you might catch a wedding.
