I really enjoyed the food. It is, admittedly, not inexpensive. We ordered almost exclusively off of the "new" menu and found it to be well done and standard "yuppie restaurant" fare of great quality. The traditional dishes are hard to wrap one's mind around in a city where you can get Schnitzel that weighs 4 kilos for 10 Euros. However, for the quality level, it is reasonably priced. H

The big negative I found was the service. The people were nice enough for Vienna, butfor these prices, the service needs to be much better. We sat staring at dirty plates far too often.

The room is stunning at first glance, and we were lucky with our seating. However, I noticed that some of the seating is just bizarre and downright uncomfortable.

The price-service relation is so poor. For the price of the food I could get much more and much better stuff somewhere around in Vienna.

The cook is famous but that's not enough to run a great restaurant.

the garden area is really nice, no doubt about it. plus you get a good look at noever's famous ramp :)
the service was nice, but a bit on the slow side. it felt like we had to wait for our drinks forever.
österreicher is known for his typically-austrian-but-yet-fancy cuisine. i was rather disappointed actually - it was nothing special, just above average. a bit overhyped and not really worth the money, imo.

one of those "extra stylish" places where the designers forgot how to make the place feel cosy. there is virtually no possibility to sit in a group with more than two people without getting backaches after 20min.

    a little pricy also ( a leberkäsesemmel for €4.80 - but hey, it's a bar and not a würstelstand).

The three stars are for the really nice service and for the table snacks that very delicious ( but i had to ask for them first ).

Have just removed this review from MAK where it definitely did not belong.

I've only been to the bar section of the place so far and even though I find it rather uncomfortable when it comes to the table setup I do very much appreciate the really friendly service and the free wlan.

    Top notch food and service.

We used this restaurant for our rehearsal dinner last August. Aside from the fact that the courtyard served as the perfect setting for our party of 20 on a gorgeous summer day, I really can't say that I've had service like we had here elsewhere in Vienna; it was without peer.

Food was delicious and creative too.
